meet two Tuesdays a month at the Block from 6:30p-8p.  There will be some
food, fun, friends, and Bible.

Questions to think about:

So should I be in a Guy’s Group?

Do you want to follow Christ and be like him, and…are you willing to do something about it.
Some people think it’s a great idea to follow Christ, or that someday they
might want to be like him, but a disciple actually goes for it.

First off, then, do you have a desire to be like Christ and follow after
him? You have to want this.

Secondly, have you made a decision to actually do it, to follow him? Not that you always
feel like it, but is that what you actually want to do?

If so, then discipleship could be for you. But before you move forward, there are a few
other things to consider as well

Do you have time for this?

Discipleship will require two nights per month plus your own time outside of group. What
else do you have going on?  If you sign up we expect you to be there, and
we expect you to be prepared. Don’t sign up if you can’t do this!  Either
drop another activity, or wait until your schedule slows down.

Do you really want this?

Hopefully you’ll make friends in your group and have a lot of fun, but that is
not the main reason we do Guy’s Groups.
If you’re ONLY looking to
connect with other students, we’ll be offering plenty of other activities you
can be involved in. Guy’s Groups are designed to connect you with friends and a
leader, but most importantly – they are to help you connect to God.  Make
sure that’s what you’re signing up for.

So take some time to think and pray. Talk with your parents and people you
respect, get their input. Do you have a desire to be like Christ, learn how to
live in the world, and learn how to love others?

If all of that is a yes, then great! Let’s do it. If not, it’s okay. Maybe God has
something else for you. Maybe you’ll join a group in a few months. Regardless,
we encourage you to walk wherever he guides you.
