What is Lakeside’s Middle School Ministry (MSM) All About?
MSM is a whole lot more than a “religious service” for teens. We’re not about just creating an experience for your student, we want your child to feel like they belong and call MSM theirs. At MSM, they will find awesome friends, amazing adult leaders who genuinely care about them, a great place to have fun, and most of all learn how life with Jesus is better than anything else.
Who Works With My Kids?
We are privileged to have Godly, top-notch adults volunteering in MSM who offer our young people love, guidance, support, and encouragement. All of our volunteers go through interviews, background checks, reference checks, and are lead in regular volunteer meetings. If you are interested in how to become a part of our volunteer team, please contact us.
How will I know what is going on?
We want to be sure that you have all the information you need to keep your student plugged in with everything great we have to offer. Along with this website we also post information about the weekly happenings on Facebook (/msmlakeside) and Instagram (@msmlakeside). Be sure not to miss the monthly email that gives an outlook of the upcoming dates, events, and important information. Click here if you would like to request to be added to the email list.
Want to have tea with Kevin?
We would love the chance to get to know you more and discuss how we can better partner with you to transform your student into a passionate and productive follower of Jesus.
Interested in Volunteering?
MSM has opportunities for parents to get involved. From small group leaders to helping prepare food for special events, there’s a place for you to come alongside our students. Plus, if you have something to offer this ministry (i.e. the use of your pool for a BBQ event or your cabin for one of our trips), please contact the office.
Looking for some great Resources?
We teach through a curriculum at MSM Weekly from a company called: Orange. The goal of this organization it to bring together the church and the home to partner in the spiritual growth of the student. We post helpful content and ideas on continuing the lesson at home on our “Current MSM Topics” page.

For tips on helping your student connect at MSM check out this page on our website: Help Your Kids Connect!
We would also love to meet with you and discuss more specific resources that would help you, give you some book suggestions, or connect you with other parents who have “been there”. Let us know how we can help.
