Parents
What is Lakeside’s Middle School Ministry (MSM) All About?
We want to PARTNER with Parents to…
Build a culture of Worship, Prayer, and Connection to God – Worship means loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:29-30). Worship is a posture the believer lives in relationship to God (Romans 12:1-2). To this end we will focus on developing a culture and community of worshippers.
Build a culture of Evangelism and Service as We Connect to Those in Our Culture – Reaching out to others is one fot eh last commands of Christ in the Scriptures. Before leaving earth, He said, “Go make disciples of all nations…” (MAtthew 28:19). Jesus also said to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31). To this end we will develop a culture and community that is missional.
Build a Culture of Leadership/Discipleship & Connection in Community – We were created out of community (Trinity) for community and God’s desire is that we grow up in our faith. In short, we are to grow in unity and maturity (Ephesians 4:1-16). To this end we will develop a culture and community of emerging leaders and theologians.
Who Works With My Kids?
We are privileged to have Godly, top-notch adults volunteering in MSM who offer our young people love, guidance, support, and encouragement. All of our volunteers go through interviews, background checks, reference checks, and are lead in regular volunteer meetings. If you are interested in how to become a part of our volunteer team, please contact us.
New! S.W.E.A.T.
Student Work Effort Around Town is our annual fundraiser that specifically impacts the cost of our camps and events. Students who participate in either the call day and/or work day decrease their personal camp costs for the upcoming year. It’s a great benefit for your family. Information packets become available in February and the actual work day takes place in March.

VOLUNTEER
MSM has opportunities for parents to get involved. From small group leaders to helping prepare food for special events, there’s a place for you to come alongside our students. Plus, if you have something to offer this ministry (i.e. the use of your pool for a BBQ event or your cabin for one of our trips), please contact the office.
